The rain drums outside and a few thousand feet above my home it is snowing. Pacific Northwest fall in the mountains changes the world from glorious to gloom to snowy white.

I am walking in awe these days because I know that my days of passing through these weathers are approaching their limit. So each day I am amazed by scenes I looked at but did not see because I was too busy to pay attention. Now each sight, each image, is more beautiful than the last. Even the rain has a new me!ody and there are shades of silver in the thickened clouds. As the leaves fall and turn brown and nourish the ground beneath,  I am so grateful that I still have the chance to walk these ways with my eyes wide open and my heart singing.
